Side Effects: So far, I have not had any nausea or other side effects related to the new medication. I have noticed a decrease in my appetite, but I’ve also had a few worries on my mind so that could be related to other things.
Sugar Levels: My morning sugar number has been in the mid to high 100’s this past week, with only one day in the 200s. While I realize that is not anywhere that I should be, I’m used to only seeing numbers in the 200’s when I wake up.
Weight Loss: I lost 4.5 lbs this past week, which took me by surprise. I hoping that it continues.
I just took my second dose of the 0.25 mg. There are a total of 4 of the 0.25 mg injections before it increase to 0.5 mg.
Thoughts From This Past Week
I’ve been feeling optimistic regarding this change in medication. I’m still continuing to take my Metformin and Glipizide. The doctor said that I can discontinue those meds once I feel like I’m seeing better numbers with my glucose meter.
While losing weight was not the primary goal when going on Ozempic, I’m hoping that I continue to see the number on the scale go down. To be honest, it would be amazing to feel ‘healthy’ again. I haven’t felt that way in a while.
Goals for Today:
- Clean the Bathtub/Shower
- Read my Book
- Go to Bed Early
